Money Follows the Person AT Position Expansion

Initiative Description

The Vermont Assistive Technology Program (VATP) worked with the Adult Services Division of VT's Department for Disability, Aging, and Independent Living on a supplemental grant for Money Follows the Person. In coordination with that program, VATP secured funding for an Aisstive Technology (AT) position exclusively dedicated to supporting the Area Agencies on Aging (AAA) and the No Wrong Door (NWD) project. Plans are to fill that position in FY22.

Lessons Learned/Replication

This collaboration resulted in a grant award that will be available for the next four years. After filling the new AT position in FY22, the project goal will be to utilized that position to expand AT knowledge, access and acquisition throughout the AAA network and NWD system across the state.
