State Initiatives

CATADA's Catalogue of Initiatives is a repository of field-generated initiatives submitted by State AT Program grantees and their contractors/partners. Here you can find over 70 impactful and innovative AT initiatives from programs across the country.

Initiatives in this repository meet one or more of the following criteria:

  • Demonstrate positive outcomes of increased access to and/or acquisition of AT,
  • utilize strong partnerships,
  • report high satisfaction among recipients of AT, or
  • show a positive return on investment.

This catalogue offers a place for AT programs to share their work with other programs and stakeholders with the goal putting more assistive technology into the hands of people with disabilities!

  • AT Awareness Month

    Wyoming

    May 2022 was Wyoming Assistive Technology Awareness Month, a formal proclamation signed by Wyoming's Governor Mark Gordon and was held virtually through the Google Meets platform. 45 attendees witnessed the virtual signing.

  • TechAccess Oklahoma

    Oklahoma

    For the fifth year, Oklahoma ABLE Tech presented TechAccess Oklahoma, Oklahoma’s premier web accessibility conference. ABLE Tech ran the event over two days on Zoom in order to protect the health and safety of the growing technology accessibility community in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic.

  • Access to Telehealth and Virtual Education

    Indiana
    The INDATA Project core services were stopped in late March 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic. We quickly realized there was a huge need for people to go to school remotely and those needing access to Telehealth that did not have computers or tablets available to them to do these activities.
