Initiative Description
The Oregon AT Program participated in SLATE (State Leaders of Assistive Technology in Education). This group meets monthly to provide opportunities for networking and professional development for state-level assistive technology programs in preschool and K-12 educational environments.
Lessons Learned/Replication
In virtual meetings, SLATE members share innovative ideas, discuss issues common to state-level AT programs, and act as a professional learning community for members who have state and regional responsibilities to support AT programs in K-12 educational settings.
